Allan Olson Dahl

Allan Olson Dahl Sr. passed away at his home on Feb. 14, 2020. He was born on Oct. 2, 1937, in Talkeetna, Alaska. He married the love of his life, Nina, on Oct. 12, 1962. In their 57 years together they raised six children and grandchildren: Olson, Charlamagne, Yvonne, Thomas, Cherrelle and Ben. When they lived in Kotzebue, Alaska, Allan worked as a maintenance supervisor for NANA Regional Corporation from 1979-1981. From there he became the maintenance supervisor for the State of Alaska National Guard. Making him responsible for all the armory hangars throughout the state of Alaska until he retired in 1997. After retirement Allan and Nina settled into life in Anchorage, Alaska, where they remained until his passing.

Allan leaves behind his loving wife, Nina Dahl; their childrenm Olson Dahl (Keegan Richards), Cherrelle Dahl, Allan Dahl Jr., Yvonne Dahl, Thomas Dahl and Ben Dahl Rouzman; his grandchildren, Leon Shellabarger III, Daisy and Charlie Christiansen, Howie Jr, Kazara and Savannah Wilson; great-grandchildren, Gustav and Estelle Dahl and Guinevere Shellabarger; his sister, Ollie Hudson (Cliff); and nephews, Chuck, Bruce and Scotty Hudson, Keith and Clinton Robson, and Monty and Gerald Jr. Robson.

He also leaves behind extended family Evelyn Day (Bruce), Lottie Mercure (Mike), Ruthie Monroe (Howard), Sheila Watson (Rusty), Helen Anderson, Darlene Snyder, Sharon Bacon (George), Lura Schaeffer (John), Cindy Tate (Lumber), Phyllis Frankson (Steve), Isha Butera (Allan) and Sonja Jackson (Marvin); and brothers-in-law, Gerald and Rusty Robson.

Allan was preceded in death by his parents, Ole and Annie Dahl; sister, Maryann Robson; sister, Ruby Robson; brother, Bobby Dahl; daughter, Charlamagne Dahl; father-in-law. Thomas Sours; mother-in-law, Rose Sours; and nephews, Jay Hudson and Mike Robson.

Services will be held at Anchorage Friends Church, 4607 East Sixth Avenue, at 2 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 21, 2020. Potluck to follow.
