Amber Rae Luther, 41, passed away on Feb. 10, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska. Service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at Legacy Heritage Chapel, 440 East Klatt Road. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at 6 p.m., at Time Out Lounge, 4600 Old Seward Highway.

Amber was born Oct. 29, 1978, in El Paso, Texas. She came to Alaska in 1991 and lived in Homer for a year before moving to Anchorage, where she lived till her passing.

She was a foster parent from 2010-2020. She opened her home and heart, touching many young lives over the years.

Amber's favorite color was purple. She enjoyed camping, games with her kids, shopping, bowling, ghost and paranormal activity shows, traveling and hanging out with friends and family.

Amber was a very giving person with a personality out of this world. Her family meant the world to her. Amber would light up any room she walked into. She made the best out of every moment. She was very dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by brother, Allen Dollison of Anchorage; and grandfather, Roger Stout of Texas.

Amber is survived by her mother, Connie Adams of Anchorage; father, Wayne Luther of Texas; grandmother, Bernadine Stout of Texas; children, Marquese Vaughn, Alanna Cole, Peteru Staten and Kiana Roberts; sisters, April Luther, Jennifer Pinsly, Donna Martin and Christina Jolly; nieces, Ajanae Dollison, Dashayia Dollison, Kassia Dollison, Addy Pinsly, Bernice Pinsly, Myrna Duff, Chavonne Boyle and Noelle Joseph; nephews, Dominic Mecure, Christopher Brooks, Michael Brooks, Shane Duff, Evan Richardson, Joel Jr. Joseph, James Jr. Cole, Kyin Boyd and Damarjhai Joseph all of Anchorage; aunts, Lori Stout, Debbie Stout of Texas; uncles, Alan Stout and Dennis Stout of Texas.
