May 7, 2023
Beverly June Bronner passed away peacefully on May 7, 2023, during a final wild cross-country road trip in Ardmore, Okla., with her daughter and grandson holding her hands.
Beverly was born on Jan 27, 1945, in Laramie, Wyo., to Faye Anthis and George Anthis. She was the second of three sisters, Shelda and Cindy. She grew up in Omaha, Neb., and became a hair stylist at her parents' hair salon. During that time is where she met the love of her life, John "Jack" Daniel Bronner, whom she married on May 1, 1962.
A job offered to Jack in 1969 at the FAA brought them to Anchorage, Alaska, where they started their family with Chauna in 1970. Alaska is where they also started their construction and rental business which they grew year after year to pass down to their child and grandchildren.
Beverly was the president of the Panhandlers Women's Club in 1980s and a top selling Totem Real Estate Agent. She joined Philanthropic Educational Organization in May 2015. She was president of Anchorage Spinners and Weaver's Guild. Beverly was an avid seamstress and had a gift for bobbin lace, for which she travelled and won many awards including first prize at the Alaska State Fair.
Beverly was a generous, kind and strong woman. Preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Bronner on March 24, 2022. She was survived by her sister, Cindy Niwa; daughter, Chauna LoMonaco; grandson, Tyler Swain with wife Christa; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Mycah.
There will be a service held in memory of Beverly on June 10, 2023, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Eagle River, Alaska, at 2 p.m., with a reception downstairs afterward.
