Charlotte May Dennison, born Dec. 29, 1932, in Santa Anna, Calif., passed away from complications of a stroke, surrounded by family on May 27, 2020, in Wasilla, Alaska.
Charlotte was an active member in the Eagle River VFW/Cooties post 9785 until her diagnosis with Alzheimer's. She lived most of her adult life in Alaska but grew up in Southern California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dennison; sister, Florence Wilson; and parents, Jack and Ruth Klippel.
She leaves behind her son, Mikes Dennison; daughter-in-law, Terry Dennison of Wasilla; granddaughter, Saramay Dennison of West Valley, Utah; and grandson, Ronald and Alexandrea Dennison of Wasilla; as well as brother, Tom (Dutch) and Mary Klippel of Eagle River, Alaska; and sister, Barbara and Al Burch of Kodak; as well as many nieces and nephews in Alaska and the Lower 48.
Charlotte met her husband Ronald on horseback in California. She loved to sketch horses right up until the end. Friends and family will remember her as a beautiful seamstress, crocheter, mother, sister and grandmother.
Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska or Ancora Home Health and Hospice.
