"It's all good." – Cody Duryea

Lifelong Alaskan Cody Christian Duryea passed away at home on June 24, 2020, at the age of 29, after a brave fight with cancer. He was born on May 22, 1991, in Anchorage, Alaska. A third generation Alaskan, Cody graduated from Dimond High in 2009. He was also a participant in the Japanese Immersion Program for 13 years. Animal whisperer and local artist, often donating his work to charity, Cody was also the proud owner of CoPro Painting.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Ginny and Max Harness and Paul and Beulah Kircher; and great-grandfathers, Don Duryea and Elmer Daniels. Cody is survived by his parents, Don and Rebecca Duryea of Anchorage; mother, Deanna Daniels of Hawaii; siblings, Grant Duryea, Haley Duryea, Taylor Allen, Wyatt Allen and Meghan Duryea, all of Anchorage, and Canyon Partch of Washington; great-grandmothers, Esther Duryea Linderman of Oregon, and Lilla Daniels of Florida; grandfather, Edward Duryea of Alaska; grandparents, Tom and Boots Daniels and Paulette and Mike Hydak; aunts and uncles, Brian and Christine Duryea, Nannette and Phil Martin of Oregon, Michelle and Don Frigaard of Washington, Sonia and Eric Runyan of Eagle River, Alaska, and Mark and Amy Daniels of Minnesota. Also surviving Cody is his beloved cat, Kymera, and numerous other extended family members.

Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be taking place next summer. Private burial took place on July 5, 2020, at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery, with Bruce A. Markwood officiating.
