Corbin Young

Corbin was an extraordinary chef. He worked his way from Anchorage, Alaska, where he was born to Seattle, Wash.; San Francisco, Calif.; Hawaii; Austin, Texas; and to New Orleans, La. There he cooked in 100 degree weather at Commanders Palace creating new and spectacular cuisine. Twenty five years later, he returned to Anchorage and became head chef at Glacier Brewhouse, Suite 100 and Haute Quarter Grill.
At the Glacier Brewhouse he met his sweetheart of seven years Stormi Chudocken. On Jan. 24 2018, his surviving son Sebastian Timothy Young was born.
He is also survived by his mother, Karen Otter; his father, Toby R. Young; stepsiblings, Jeane Otter, Richard Otter and Denise Otter Shedlock; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Sand.
Corbin is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Timothy Aleyeska Young; and grandparents, Glen Franklin Young and Zora Lee Gregory.
Rest in peace, Corbin Young, you will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Fairview Recreation Center. Bring a dish to share.
