Daniel Allen Barrett

Feb 27, 1968 -

Apr 22, 2020

Daniel Barrett, 52, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2020.

"Dan" was born on Feb. 27, 1968, in Santa Cruz, Calif., at Community Hospital to proud mother Donna. He was raised in Santa Cruz until he was 10, when he then moved to Eagle River, Alaska. He graduated from Chugiak High School with honors in 1986.

Dan was a kind-hearted person with a generous soul. He had a truly one-of-a-kind personality, the childish sense of humor we could all relate to and a sexy, curly, signature mullet that he rocked his whole life. His daughter Krystal, son Chandler and granddaughter Kenidy were the absolute center and joy of his life.

Dan loved living in the fast lane. He cherished the simple things in life such as camping, fishing and anything that included being outdoors, especially when it involved being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 17 years and the mother of their children, Lisa Ann Barrett; grandparents; and countless other family and friends. The family takes comfort in knowing he is with the love of his life Lisa once again.

He is survived by his daughter, Krystal with her husband Michael, and their daughter Kenidy Morales and son Chandler Barrett; mother, Donna Sterrett and her husband, Dan's stepfather, Tom Sterrett; his sister, Brenda McGee and her five children; partner, Jean Bacigalupo; and the countless friends, family and people Dan's love and wit impacted. Dan will be missed so much by everyone he met throughout his life. However, his memory and laughter he shared with all of us will be cherished and live on forever.

Cheers to the best father, husband, brother, son and friend any of us could have ever asked for.

A celebration of life will be held and announced in the coming months as COVID-19 restrictions lift.
