Danita Ellis, 55, passed away at home surrounded by family on Friday, March 6, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska. Danita was born on Sept. 7, 1964, in Anchorage to Bill and Sandra Everly. Growing up Danita lived in various communities throughout Alaska and Washington state, where she graduated from Chimacum High School in 1982. She also attended the University of Alaska Anchorage where she studied accounting. In 1985, Danita met her future husband Tim Ellis of Anchorage, when they were neighbors. Danita and Tim got married on Dec. 26, 1987, in the Anchorage Museum. They have two children: Jon and Jaclyn. Danita worked for Alaska Airlines as a customer service agent since 2003 and thoroughly loved her job. She loved traveling and always had her next trip on the horizon. Danita also worked alongside her husband Tim as they grew their company, Stellar Designs, for the past 35 years.

Danita is preceded in death by her grandparents; and her nephew, Michael Harshman. She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter, Jaclyn; son, Jon; and daughter-in-law, Jillian of Anchorage; her parents, Bill and Sandra Everly of Tonasket, Wash.; sister, Barbara of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brothers, Robert of Anchorage and David of Mifflintown, Pa.; as well as numerous family members, friends and co-workers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday March 12, 2020, at 3 p.m., at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite organization in memory of Danita and her love for putting others first.
