Mar 14, 2020

David Loos Wolfe passed away from this Earth to Eternal Life on March 14, 2020, at his home in Big Lake, Alaska.

A memorial service will be held at Faith Bible Church on March 21, 2020, at 2 p.m., in Big Lake.

Dave was born Sept. 12, 1936, in Dunkirk, N.Y. He graduated from Southern Arizona High School and then went on to graduate from Eastern New Mexico University and Southwestern Bible College.

He married Beverly Alice Cornish on April 30, 1965. They had two children: Mike and Mary Ruth. They moved from Arizona to Alaska in 2005. They bought a home in Big Lake and have happily resided there since 2007.

Dave owned a farm in San Luis Valley, Colo. He worked as a mechanic, welder and heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1989 from the Steel Plate Fabrication Shop in Arizona.

Dave and Beverly were a part of Faith Bible Fellowship for 14 years. They served in hosting bible studies and leading AWANAs and have been generously donating to many mission organizations throughout their life.

Dave enjoyed hunting, competitive shooting, fishing, canoeing, watching sprint car racing, watching motor car racing and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; Behold all things have become new." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 . This was Dave's favorite verse from the bible. He left a legacy of faith, hope and love. (Thank you Dad!)

He is survived by his son, Mike (Cindy); daughter, Mary Ruth; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family asks donations be made to Faith Bible Fellowship benevolence fund, in lieu of flowers.
