Dina Palmer, age 49, unexpectedly passed away five hours after being discharged from Alaska Regional Hospital. Not a COVID-19 death, but the sudden loss and inability to be with Dina in the hospital due to the virus made this more difficult.
Dina grew up in Alaska and loved fishing for halibut and camping in Homer and at Hidden Lake. She suffered a head injury in her senior year of high school when struck by a car riding her bike to work and has had many struggles since then. She worked hard to keep positive and live by the motto "keep on truckin'." Dina loved working at Red Robin, coloring pictures to give as gifts and sharing anything she had with others. She is now in the arms of Jesus and no longer suffering.
Dina attended East High School in Anchorage, Alaska. She is survived by her mother, Regina Palmer; best friend and sister, Shauna Hicks of New York; brother, Ped (Jenn) Palmer of LasVegas, Nev.; Valerie (Brett) Murphy of Palmer, Alaska; as well as many nieces and nephews.
