Rev. Donald B. McCullough Jr. died of natural causes on Sept. 8, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska. No local services are planned.

Pastor Don was born on Feb. 5, 1926, in Guntersville, Ala. He served in World War II, had a career in the Air Force, and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant at Elmendorf Air Force Base.

After graduating from Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, he returned to Alaska and pastored in North Pole, Anchorage and Kodiak. It was his wish that the honor for any good he accomplished go to God.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Carol and Mark Heirigs, Barbara and Lindel Chasteen and Russell and Tamara McCullough; granddaughters, Stephanie Heirigs, Sara Chasteen and Alicia Lynch; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Isaac, Abigail, Jordan and Michael; and great-great-grandsons, CJ and Cameron.

Pastor Don was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. His ashes have been interred at Wilamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore.
