Lifelong Alaskan, Donald Walter Jr., died in his home of natural causes in May 2020. Walters was born in in Napa, Calif., on Jan. 15, 1951, the son of Rama and Donald Walter Sr. Walter was raised in Napa, and arrived in Alaska via Hawaii in 1973. Enjoying the beauty of Alaska, he never left and made Alaska his home.

Donald was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed aviation and playing golf. He was a successful businessman and enjoyed giving back to his community through working with at risk youth at Covenant House Alaska. He loved his daughters, Eryn and Jenna Walter, more than anything in this world, but his grandchildren were his greatest passion in retirement.

Donald is survived by his sisters, Laura Bates and Kareena Walter; daughters, Eryn Walter and Jenna Walter; as well as his grandchildren, Braylin and Mason. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Covenant House Alaska, 155 A Street, Anchorage, AK 99501.
