Dorothea Ann Berntsen, 39, passed away on Oct. 16, 2020. A memorial service will be on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m., at Legacy Witzleben Chapel, 1707 S Bragaw Street, Anchorage, AK 99508.

Dorothea was born on Feb. 9, 1981, in Anchorage, Alaska. She lived in King Cove and Anchorage most of her life and was currently living in Eagle River, Alaska.

She worked as an Environmental Coordinator for Belkofski Tribe. She loved photography, the changing of the seasons and nobody can forget about her loving dog Jelly Bean.

Dorothea was taken too soon from her family. She was a loving daughter and mother who will be dearly missed. Even though she didn't know it at times Dorothea really was the glue that held out family together and she will be very deeply missed … R.I.P. Mama.

She is survived by her children, Amber Koso and Dante Koso; her other half, Derek Koso; her mother, Cheryl Berntsen; and father, John Berntsen.
