Eddie Albert Gayton

Eddie Albert Gayton, 52, of Pascagoula, Miss., passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020. Eddie was born on Feb. 3, 1968, in Anchorage, Alaska, to the late Albert Gayton and Hilda Gayton. Eddie was a lifelong Alaskan at heart, but his physical presence was in Mississippi for his daughter, Jacqueline. He was quick witted and enjoyed playing pranks on his sisters. Eddie was a passionate chef who previously worked at La Font Inn and Ruby Tuesday's, with his last employment being at Ocean Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was a proud employee who thoroughly loved his job and everyone he worked with. Eddie was also a proud father to his daughter, also known as his Goose.

He is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Gayton and her fiance CJ Cooper, both of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters, Sheri Gayton Higbee and her husband Mike Higbee, Cindy Gayton and life partner Sydnee Davis and Brenda Gayton Wilmes and her husband Kelly Wilmes; and nephews, Scott, Colin and Devin Higbee, all residents of Anchorage.

The visitation and memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, at Heritage Funeral Home, Mississippi. The visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m., with the memorial service beginning at 6 p.m.
