"Eddie" Edna Mae Walker

"Eddie" Edna Mae passed away on April 2, 2020, at home in Anchorage, Alaska. She was born on April 20, 1921, in Morrill, Neb., the only child of Coleman Talent and Eva Strow. She was home-schooled and raised on a farm in Bear Oil, Wyo. In 1939, she graduated with 70 fellow classmates from Rawlins High School and went on to outlive them all.
During World War II, she served as a Yeoman First Class in Navel Intelligence. After the war she married Jack V. Walker in 1946. In 1952, they drove the Alcan Highway to Anchorage, where they had three children: Valorie, Glenn and James.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jack Walker; and her son, Glenn Walker.
She is survived by her daughter, Valorie Walker; and son, James V. Walker.
