First Lady Emeritus Shirley M. Patterson transitioned from this life into Heaven on Oct. 17, 2022, in Anchorage, Alaska.

A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 855 East 20th Avenue in Anchorage.

Community Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., with the Homegoing Service beginning at 12 p.m.

First Lady Emeritus Shirley Patterson loved her family and her church, and was an advocate for the educational and vocational success of young people. Her desire was to establish an educational endowment that would provide scholarship support to young men and women seeking to attend postsecondary education and enter into religious vocation.
