Frederick William Negus

It is with great sorrow, that we announce the passing of "Frederick William Negus," who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Frederick graduated from Talkeetna High School. After he graduated he got his first job working for the Alaska Railroad. He continued his education and became a carpenter which gave him the opportunity to help build the Performing Arts Center in Anchorage. He then decided to spend his summers mining. Then, continued his career as a Longshoreman up until the time of his death.
He was a devoted husband, great father and a wonderful grandpa and great-grandpa.
He loved being with his family and sharing stories about the good ol' days. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin with family. As well as trapping, snow machining, hunting and fishing. He looked forward every spring to pick Fiddlehead Ferns and in the fall picking Blueberries.
His other enjoyment in life was traveling with his wife,Tina; and grandkids, Kaeleb and Maelee; along with his dog, Jack Jack.
He is survived by the love of his life, Tina Negus, of 24 years; Kaeleb and Maelee Mccutcheon, who they adopted and raised together; son, Jason Negus (Julianne), their two sons, Jackson and Jakob (Emma), and their two kids, our great-grandchildren, Keeli and Noah Negus; son, Christopher Negus (Daya) and their four daughters; stepson, Blaine Mccutcheon and our granddaughter, Riley; 13 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Joyce Borge and Earl Negus of Talkeetna, and Caye Moberg of Wasilla.
He is preceded in death by father, Fred William Negus; mother, Billie "Wilma" Barge; stepfather, Eddie Barge; and stepson, Dennis Mccutcheon.
His Celebration of Life will be held on Apr. 25, 2025 from 1-3 p.m., at the Lidia Selkregg Chalet, 1600 Lidia Selkregg Lane, Anchorage, AK 99508.
