Gerald "Fuzzy" Decker, 77, passed away at his home in Willow, Alaska, on May 20, 2020.
He was born to the late Arnold and Edna Mae Decker on March 13, 1943. He attended St. Anthony's Catholic Grade School and graduated from Athens High School in 1961. He never married.
Gerald served in the Army from 1962to 1964 and was stationed in Germany. When he returned home, Gerald worked as a carpenter, operated a "beer bar," worked in Hawaii and ventured to Alaska to work on the trans-Alaska pipeline, where he built his home and has resided since. He is also a retired school custodian.
His favorite pastimes were fishing and deer hunting – he was a member of the Decker Hunting Crew – and moose hunting in Alaska.
Survivors include four brothers, Wayne (Bonnie) Decker of Tomahawk, Wis., Russ (Jennie) Decker of Ashland, Wis., Randy (Sandy) Decker of Athens, Wis., and Mark (Deb) Decker of Marshfield, Wis.; one sister, Bev (Butch) Boris of Milan, Wis.; and also nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald; and nephew, David Boris.
