Henry Phillips

June 22, 1935 -

June 8, 2020

Henry Paul Phillips, 84, passed away peacefully at Alaska Native Hospital on June 8, 2020, surrounded by his loving wife and two daughters. Henry was born and raised in Southeast Alaska, one of 12 children; he leaves behind an extensive legacy of family and friends.

Henry's passions were watching the Seattle Seahawks football, playing online poker, fishing and cooking; he made the best fish patties, hands down! However, nothing made him happier than spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many friends.

He had been looking forward to a trip this summer to Juneau, Alaska, to go fishing with his sons and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Janet; his five sons, Henry Jr. "Bud," Richard "Butch," Loren, David and Royle; and his two daughters, Adrianne and Michelle and their respective spouses; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four sistersl as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Washington, Texas, Anchorage and Southeast Alaska. He was preceded in death by his son, Myron; and granddaughter, Cynthia.

Henry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
