Jack Bowen Sr. died on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Topeka Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Topeka, Kan. He was born on Aug. 20, 1944, in North Platte, Neb., son of Frank and Beulah Chambers Bowen.

Jack lived in several cities, much of it in Denver, Colo.; Anchorage, Alaska; and Vassar, Kan.

Jack graduated from North Platte High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked as a Fire Protection Engineer for 56 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order.

Jack married Jennifer Lynn Allen; they later divorced. He married Jane Ellen Duke on Dec. 28, 1976, in Denver.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Jane on Dec. 15, 2006; and sisters, Jo Lynn and Jeannine.

Jack is survived by his son, Jack Bowen Jr. of Liberty, Mo.; his three daughters, Jamie Bowen (Kevin) of Kansas City, Mo., Katherine Martin (Eric) of Carrboro, N.C., and Rebecca Dorman (Tom) of Osage City, Kan.; his brother, Jerry Bowen of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and his six grandchildren, Tim, Christian, Cora, Kassandra, Viktoria and Ryder.
