Jacob Chuck Shavings was born on Feb. 8, 1958, in Bethel, Alaska, to Edward Shavings Sr. and Esther Shavings. Jacob loved to sing and play his guitar. He served in the Army and was a self-taught talented artist.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kendra Noatak; father, Edward Shavings Sr.; sisters, Alma Rose, Marvella Ann and Phyllis Ruth; and Edward II.

He is survived by his children, Brady Williams, Alma and Tabitha Shavings and TJ Amos; several grandchildren; mother, Esther; sister, Louise Diane; brothers, Edward III and Lincoln; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a service at Kehl's Legacy Funeral Home, 11621 Old Seward Highway in Anchorage, Alaska, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020. His final resting place will be in Mekoryuk, Alaska, next to his dad.
