Janette B. Hicks (Ellis), 61, of Anchorage, Alaska, died on Thursday, July 2, 2020. Janette was born on Oct. 23, 1958, in Haines, Alaska, to Douglas and Jean Ellis. She was preceded in death by her parents; and ex-husband, Michael Harbuck. She was a lifelong Alaskan and a very social person, who was able to put a smile on anyone's face. During her quiet time, she enjoyed reading.

She was survived by her significant other, Nathaniel Hicks; and her three daughters, Rebecca Brotzge of Anchorage, Natalie Price of Wasilla, Alaska, and Natasha Hicks of Anchorage. Janette has four grandchildren: Preston Price, Violet Brotzge, Brayden Price and Jackson Price. She leaves behind three siblings: Douglas Ellis of Orono, Maine, Mary Carmichael of Katy, Texas, and twin sister Jeanne Bitzan of Big Lake, Alaska. She has several nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States. She leaves behind her canine companion, Precious, who now has a forever home with her daughter Natalie.

Reverend Gary Graves will hold funeral services at Victory Worship Center, 3740 Debarr Road in Anchorage, on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at 6 p.m. Janette's place of interment will be beside her mother at Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery in the Columbarium Wall.
