John Dale Bryde

John Dale Bryde was born on Jan. 5, 1950, in Seattle, Wash., to Carol and Frank Bryde. He passed away in Yakima, Wash., on Aug. 1, 2020, at Cottage in the Meadow.

John served in the Navy in Vietnam from 1971-1974. He was awarded various medals for his service on a Destroyer escort ship, USS Hepburn, and an aircraft carrier.

After Vietnam he had ha brief stay in Washington state, and then went to Alaska. He worked for Vern Hickel Construction for 12 years, at a plumbing supply company for 12 years, as well as 12 years at another company. He spent 43 years in Alaska.

John was loved by all that knew him. He was on the Darwin's Theory softball and golf teams, and also loved fishing.

He is survived by his sister, Barb; and brothers, Ross and Larry.
