World famous Alaskan doll maker, and the "bride" of Senator John Cowdery for 62 years, Juanita Cowdery passed away at home with loving family at her side as the sun was rising on May 26, 2020.

We, as a family, will always be grateful for the time we had together and our closeness. Juanita Cowdery is survived by her three children, Pamela Cowdery of Anchorage, Alaska, Tom McHenry of Sioux Falls, S.D. (wife Carla), and Bill McHenry of Mississippi (wife Linda); grandchildren, Chuck McHenry (wife Stephanie) of Anchorage, Tara Raven of Anchorage and Ashley Hartman (husband Paul) of Anchorage; and great-grandchildren, Erin McHenry, Gavin McHenry, Zoe McHenry and Louie Hartman.
Viewing will be at Janssen's Evergreen Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at 3 p.m. at Anchorage Memorial Cemetery in Anchorage. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at a later date, due to travelers and families concerns about the Coronavirus risk.
