Aug 2, 2020

Kevin Anthony Brown was born in Palo Alto, Calif., and raised in San Jose, Calif., to Paul and Margaret Brown. He passed away in Spokane, Wash., surrounded by his wife and children after battling cancer, at the age of 63.

At 20 years old, he moved to Alaska to follow his passion of hunting, fishing and the great outdoors. There he attended Bible college and rekindled his faith in The Lord Jesus Christ, where he met and married the love of his life, Mary Patrice Mulcahy. They were married for over 40 years and raised six children. He designed and built their home and mini-farm in Anchorage. Kevin had an incredible work ethic from working through college at UAA, graduating valedictorian with degrees in civil, structural and arctic engineering. This led him to work in senior level positions at SOHIO, CIRI and BP. He was an amazing provider to his wife and family. Though he had many responsibilities at work, his home life with family was always his priority. He taught his family to love God first, work hard, enjoy the great outdoors, and grow and cook amazing meals.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Mary Patrice Brown; two sons, Kevin Brown Jr. (Rebecca), Paul Brown (Laura); four daughters, Christy Strutz (Garrett), Dr. Jennifer Greer (Stephen), Aileen Krauchi (Myles) and Kathleen Evans (Chace); and 11 grandchildren, Eliott and Bennett, Tayler, Lacy, Dallas, Summer and Alyssa, Kassidie, Landon, baby and Donny. He is survived by siblings, Greg (Faith), Aileen, Damian and Kathy; along with many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, on the front field at the Brown Estate in Anchorage. Please contact 720-9529 for details.
