Len Fujimoto

Len Fujimoto passed away from pancreatic cancer in his home in Anchorage, Alaska, on June 2, 2020, living a life full of love for everyone, from strangers to family.
Len was born on Oct. 21, 1972, in Anchorage. He was the youngest of three children born to the loving mother Joyce Harris. He was raised in Alaska and attended East High School, participating in bodybuilding contests and graduating in the year 1990.
Len then served in the military from 1990-2000, serving two years of active duty as a paratrooper and combat engineer in the 82nd airborne. He returned home and started working at Alaska Industrial Hardware In 2007. He continued to work for AIH as a truck driver until 2019.
In his free time, Len enjoyed playing board games, fixing vehicles, sewing, Amtgard and being a father. While he wasn't doing those things, he would be out helping friends, family and strangers with problems they were having, leaving smiles in his wake.
During his last years, Len focused on his family and the people he cared about around him in both person and spirit. He did his best to help despite his condition, going out of his way to help do anything from bringing groceries to people, to driving out of his way to plow driveways and give rides, being a positive light in the darkness that brings smiles and love to everyone nearby.
His surviving family consists of his parents, Joyce and Ken Harris; two brothers, David Fujimoto and Dirk Fujimoto; one sister, Cindy Mennachinni; one sister-in-law, Laurie Fujimoto; and his three children, River Fujimoto, Daniel Fujimoto and Grace Fujimoto.
Len will be buried on June 15, 2020, at Fort Richardson National Cemetery, at 1 p.m.
