Mary Lou Hatlen, age 75, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at home.
Mary Lou, or Honey, was born in Valdez, Alaska, to George and Lucy (Levshekoff) Paulsen and raised in Ellamar until moving to Cordova in 1959, then to Valdez and lastly in Anchorage working until retirement both in the workforce and taking care of mom and dad.
She will be remembered for her overcoming some hardships, heartaches and adversities while enduring others. In spite of these, there was no one who laughed and enjoyed the little things in life and blessings she received more than her. She has our respect.
She deeply cared for her children and family and wanted nothing but the best for them and us, and is already greatly missed.
Honey was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hatlen; children, Alexander (Scout) and Georgette; parents, George and Lucy; and siblings, Warren and James Paulsen.
Surviving are her sons, Lloyd Hatlen and Patrick Naomoff of Anchorage; grandchildren, Cora of Florida with her husband and son - Honey's great-grandchild.
