Melchor "Mel" Tuason Alzate passed away on July 14, 2020, in Philadelphia, Pa., due to natural causes. He was 55 years old.

He graduated from West Anchorage High School in Anchorage, Alaska, in 1982. He worked for the United States Postal Service and the Crow's Nest in the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage. He had been a flight attendant with Pan American World Airways, Trans World Airlines, US Airways and American Airlines until his death. Mel loved to travel for work, help so many people and explore the world. He was a gourmet and enjoyed international cuisine. He loved music and dance. He also had a keen sense of fashion.

Mel is well remembered as friendly, selfless, helpful, generous and fun-loving. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends all over the world.

He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, Altaire, Dessy, Richelle, Kay and Lally; and other close family members.
