Omega Walker

Jul 5, 1967 -

Aug 7, 2020

Omega Walker was born to the late Samuel and Blondell Hattie Walker in Alexandria, La., on July 5, 1967. She departed this life on Aug. 7, 2020.

Omega was the eighth sibling in a family of nine. She moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1969, and she graduated from Bartlett High School in 1985. She later attended a local school of cosmetology. Omega possessed a passion for hair and enjoyed making others look beautiful.

She loved family. She relished in being a grandmother. She was the jokester of the family and enjoyed making people laugh. She loved soul food; her favorite foods were collard greens, rice and hot links. She was always prepared with her bottle of hot sauce that she kept neatly tucked away and locked up in her purse!

She recently set out on her own spiritual journey by attending Dominion Ministries, under Pastor Elder Melvin and Avis B. Williams.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel John Walker Sr.; her sister, Tabitha Walker; and twin brothers, Sammy Lee and Sammy John Walker.

Omega was loved by many. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Blondell Hattie Walker; her devoted daughter, Cameo Ciera Walker; two grandchildren, Airreion Demaje Walker and Aeris Cieriah Walker; two brothers, Samuel John Walker Jr. and Solomon Walker; four sisters, Emma Walker, Cleo Walker-Randle, Bersadies Murray and adopted sister, Alecia Rae; three nephews, Julian Walker, Donny Walker-Randle and Drew Walker; one niece, Taylor Walker; and a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be held Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at Legacy Witzleben Chapel, 1707 S Bragaw Street. Viewing from 9-11:30 a.m., service at 12 p.m., with graveside to follow. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Monitary donations can be made to Northrim bank: Acct# 125200934 3124684203.
