Paul Swensen, 72, of Anchorage, Alaska, died at Madigan Military Hospital in Washington on July 28, 2020.
Paul was a highly-decorated Vietnam era veteran. Brother, husband and beloved uncle to all who knew him. In his lifetime Paul was a fisherman, soldier, cook, maintenance man, plumber and pipeline baker. He enjoyed photography and nature. Paul was a jovial humorist and generous to his countless family and friends.
Paul is survived by his brother, Michael; sisters-in-law, Lana and Laura; nephew, Michael of New Mexico; son, Timothy; daughter-in-law, Tina; grandchildren, Timothy Jr. and Robin; daughter Angela Fleming; son-in-law, Tony; grandson, Josh; nephews, Greg and Bradley of Washington; nephews, David Redick of Washington and Larry Redick of Texas; niece, Bobette Winton of California; sisters-in-law, Ruby and Phyllis; nephews, Kurt, Eric and Jason; brother-in-law, Milton Price; sister-in-law, Beverly; nephews, Milton and Michael; and niece, Marie.
Paul was born in Kodiak, Alaska, and was preceded in death by his mother Parascovia Inga Swensen; father, Thomas Marcelis Swensen; brothers, Carl and Thomas; sisters, Marie Olivia, Evelyn and Thomasine Ingaberg; brothers-in-law, Jerry Redick, William Unger and William Parks Haddon; niece, Beverly Smith; nephews, Robert and Thomas Redick, and Marvin Price; wife, Alissa; son, Clinton; and daughter, Melissa Wirth. The family extends a special acknowledgement to friends Steve McMillan and Holly Heagle for their unending support of our family and especially Paul at his, and our time of greatest need.
