Paul Davis, 85, died peacefully on Sept. 10, 2020, at his home in Vancouver, Wash.
Paul was born on Oct. 23, 1934, in Toledo, Ohio. He was the oldest of three sons born to Clarence and Clare Davis. He was raised in Michigan and moved to Alaska in 1961 to raise his family. Paul worked for the State of Alaska Highway Department until his retirement.
Paul loved the beauty and adventure discovered in the great state of Alaska. He was an expert gunsmith and avid marksman. Paul's greatest fulfillment was to read, study and share Biblical truths. He enjoyed history and knowing where he was from and the fight it took to arrive.
His first wife, Margaret Davis; son, Bobby Davis; grandson, Bobby G. Davis; and brother, Micky Davis preceded him in death.
Paul is survived by his current wife, Jaqueline Waldo Davis; his brother, Larry Davis; and this amazing blended family also includes sons, Ronnie Davis, Mark Davis; daughter, Cindy Davis Rausa, Rhonda Rogers, Billy Waldo, Jocelyn Juul, and their spouses; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren and counting.
A public memorial is being planned in Alaska in the summer of 2021.
