Jun 27, 2020

Pearlie Mae Bursey, 68, of Anchorage, Alaska, went on to be with the Lord on June 27, 2020, in Anchorage.

Pearlie was born and raised in Memphis, Tenn., but had called Alaska home since 1979. She was a quiet soul who spent most of her time working in the healthcare field. One of her favorite pastimes was driving around town and enjoying the beautiful Alaska scenery. She truly treasured and embraced time spent with her grandchildren.

Pearlie is preceded in death by her father, Earl Hunter; her brothers, Robert Anderson, James Anderson, Freddie Anderson and Perry Anderson; and granddaughter, Kadijah Alexander.

Pearlie is survived by her mother, Estelle Wilson; her children, Beverly Anderson, Rachel Bursey, Kisha Smaw-Rodriguez (Victor), Christopher Smaw (Christal) Ronald Rogers and Dominique Bursey; siblings, Lois Foy, Rayfordine Anderson (Etta), Forestine Anderson, Leodis Anderson and Alexander Anderson; and grandchildren, Anthony Anderson, Krystal Anderson, Sharlore Branch, Tiakisha Thomas, Keshawn Bursey, Quavon Bracken, Josiah Simon, Dashay Alexander, Aaliyah Miller, Jaslina Rodriguez, Savion Rodriguez, Josiah Smaw, Elijah Smaw and Amaria Smaw.

Pearlie will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Momma, may you rest in the arms of Jesus. "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." - Isaiah 4-31
