Mar 13, 2025
Lifelong Alaskan Reese Michael Livermont passed away unexpectedly on Mar. 13, 2025, at the age of 25.
Reese touched down in this world at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage on Mar. 12, 2000, as the firstborn to parents, Trudi and Art Livermont. He spent his childhood with his parents and sister, hunting and fishing in Southcentral Alaska and Bristol Bay. His primary interests included aviation, video games, computers and spending time with loved ones.
During his educational years, he attended Kasuun Elementary, Hanshew Middle School, Service High School, King Career Center and S.A.V.E. High School. While he attended Service High, he met a beautiful foreign exchange student from Mongolia named Sumiya. They kept in touch, and years later, while Sumiya was in college, their friendship blossomed into a beautiful relationship. After dating for three years, they married on Apr. 28, 2024, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Reese greatly enjoyed meeting and spending time with Sumiya's family in Mongolia.
With Reese's passion and interest in aviation, it was only natural for him to pursue it as a career. Through the support of his family, friends, and unlimited access to his grandmother's PA-18 and Cessna 140, he flew as much as one could.
As his presence grew in the aviation community, it didn't take long for him to create his own "flock "of friends to fly with. More often than not, Reese and his friends could be found in Knik River area. He was extremely proud of those friendships and took every opportunity to fly with them on any given day. Reese worked hard while building his flight hours, working as a ramp agent for Alaska Air Transit and ACE Air Cargo. His great dedication eventually landed him at his first pilot job as a Beech 1900 First Officer for ACE. Reese was always sharing stories about all the places he flew to with his coworkers.
Reese created lasting friendships with people everywhere he went - through school, work and especially in the online gaming community, particularly War Thunder. He was very proud to share his passions and interests with those who also appreciated them.
There are far too many accomplishments and adventures with friends and family to mention - the number of memories could fill a book. We apologize if we omitted any. Just know that Reese loved his family and friends deeply.
In Anchorage, Reese is survived by his wife, Sumiya Byambasuren; parents, Art and Trudi Livermont; and sister, Allie Livermont (River). In Ulanbattur, Mongolia, in-laws, Byambasuren Adiyadagva and Ariunzul Erdene-Ochir; grandparents, Joann Livermont of Dillingham, Ronald Livermont (Lana) of Ellensburg, Wash., Ina and Miguel Nazario of Wasilla; great-grandmothers, Emma Clark of Bethel, and Leatrice Mills of Rapid City, S.D.; aunt, Alix Anderson (Rob); cousins, Brooke and McKenna of Shoreline, Wash.; uncle, Eli Livermont of Dillingham; and uncle, Mike Nazario (Coleen) of Colorado.
A small celebration of life is planned sometime in May 2025. Location and time are yet to be determined. Please RSVP at livermontallie@gmail.com to get more information.
In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests that you hug the nearest family member or friend and say "I love you!" Or, head out to Point Woronzof and watch the airplanes take off, and simply wave.
