Ricardo Lopez passed away on Dec. 25, 2019, after a 6-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren when he took his last breath. He had just celebrated his 78th birthday and would have celebrated 57 years of marriage to his wife Yolanda in January 2020.

Ricardo is survived by his wife, Yolanda of Anchorage, Alaska; daughter, Patsy Towslee (Joe) of Anchorage; son, Richard Jr. of Chehalis, Wash.; and grandchildren, Laiken, Joey, Matthew, Rachel, Jakob and Sofia.

He was preceded in death by his son, Mario.

The Kenai River was his home away from home. He cherished his time on the river enjoying fishing, sitting by the campfire and his many friendships. He most enjoyed having his grandchildren by his side. He will be dearly missed.

A private funeral mass was held at Saint Benedict Catholic Church on Dec. 28, 2019.
