Richard Joseph Kasper

Lifelong Alaska resident Richard Kasper, 77, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2020, at the Alaska Veterans and Pioneer Home in Palmer, Alaska.

Richard was born on Aug. 27, 1942, in Casper, Wyo., to Joseph and Martha Kasper.

He graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper. After graduating, he enlisted into the United States Air Force, after returning home from the Vietnam War, he starting working for Northwest Caterpillar in Casper as a mechanic. Eventually settling in Alaska in the spring of 1968.

He is survived by Rita Kasper; his son, Jason Kasper; daughter-in-law, Sherry Kasper; and grandson, Dillon Newell.

He came from a large family with too many siblings to mention, along with many more family and friends that loved him.

There is no memorial service planned at this time. The family ask that donations be made to the Alaska Veterans and Pioneer Home in Palmer, in lieu of flowers.
