Robert LaVerl Gilliland, 94, passed away on Dec. 14, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Sept. 4, 2020, at 12 p.m., at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage, Alaska. As a military veteran of World War II, Robert will be interred at Fort Richardson National Cemetery with full military honors following the service at 2:30 p.m. Those wishing to attend the inurnment ceremony are asked to line up at the Fort Richardson gate behind the hearse by 2:15 p.m. A full obituary will be published next week.
