Robert Glen Sprinkle

Dec 29, 1955 -

Mar 22, 2024

Robert Glen Sprinkle, 68, passed away due to health complications in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 22, 2024, becoming reunited with his loving wife Valerie Ann Kordus, and enough friends and family to have a welcome gathering at the front of those golden gates. Robert was born on Dec. 29, 1955, in Spokane, Wash., and later moved with his parents and three younger sisters to Alaska in 1964. He graduated from West High School in 1974, and backpacked through Europe with his best friend Matt Tikka shortly after graduating. Robert married his longtime girlfriend Valerie on Dec. 29, 1984, and had Avalon in May of the following year. He went on to pursue a career in the HVAC industry and was a member of the Local 367 Plumbers & Pipefitters Union for the entirety of his career. Robert was known for his baritone voice, which either captivated or terrified people of all ages. He loved sports, singing and dancing to the rock & roll classics, and would never turn down an offer to attend a party. He spent a lot of summers fishing and camping at his property in Kasilof, Alaska. But the real joy and love of Robert's life happened when he became a "Papa" to his granddaughters, Abrielle and Avyanna, which he most commonly referred to as his "beautiful baetoes," refusing to ever believe his loving granddaughters had ever grown out of their baby sized feet. He was also united with his adopted daughter Lisa in late 2014 and gained three more granddaughters in this reunification. Robert is survived by his daughters, Avalon Greene (Aaron) and Lisa Aase (Erik); granddaughters, Abrielle Greene, Avyanna Greene, Emily Aase, Megan Aase-Norris and Kelsey Aase; and sisters, Gail Craig (Mike) and Sarah Sprinkle. A ceremony to spread Robert and Val's ashes together will be held at a later date. Condolences can be sent to avalon_greene@icloud.com.
