Oct 2, 1952 -

Apr 16, 2020

Robert "Bob" William Schultz passed away on April 16, 2020. Bob passed at home in Seward, Alaska, surrounded by his daughter Carmen and friends after a valiant fight with cancer.

Years ago, Bob had placed his trust and faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His relationship with God gave him great hope and comfort as he fought cancer. He is now at peace forever in the presence of the Lord.

Robert "Bob" William Schultz was born in Elgin, Ill., on Oct. 2, 1952. He was the son of an artist/sign painter and all through his life he displayed his artistic talents. During his life, he wore many hats. In the early 70s he served in the Army and was stationed in Anchorage at Fort Richardson. Bob drove heavy equipment up on the north slope, was a truck driver, a cab driver and worked in Seward on heavy equipment. Bob loved to go fishing and camping. Bob was a loving caring person who always made everyone smile. Bob will always be remembered for his wit, his sense of humor, kindness and a head of hair that even Kurt Russell would be envious of.

Bob is survived by his ex-wife, Susan Poland; his daughters, Carry Schultz and Carmen Schultz; his grandchildren, Brittney, Chastity, Leilani, Cassandra and Jeremiah; along with great-grandchildren, Cloud, Shaylynn, Theodore and Sebastian. Bob is also survived by siblings, Linda Manley, Nancy Sontag, Sandra Burket and Danny Liffick; and numerous nephews and nieces.

There was a viewing Monday, April 20, 2020, at the Peninsula Memorial Chapel & Crematory, 5839 Kenai Spur Highway in Kenai, Alaska. There will a celebration of life in Seward when it is safe to gather.
