Roberto Cordero Valladolid

Oct 2, 1943 -

Jul 8, 2020

Roberto Cordero Valladolid, 76, passed peacefully in his sleep on July 8, 2020, in Marysville, Wash., after an 8-month battle with AL Amyloidosis. Roberto lived most of his life in Alaska. He emigrated to the United States from the Philippines in 1979, and by 1980 he moved to Kodiak, Alaska. He worked in the canary for some time, store associates and janitorial services, and he worked in the commissary as a produce supervisor.

He was a member of Kodiak, AK Lions Club and Alaska Teamster 959.

Roberto was born on Oct. 2, 1943, to Salome Cordero and Simplicio Valladolid in Naga City, Philippines. He is the fifth child of 10. He spent most of his childhood in Naga City, and there he met his wife Virginia Espinosa. They had three wonderful daughters together: Dolores V. Nate, Divina E. Valladolid and Diana V. Ince.

When he immigrated to the United States, he worked very hard to reunite his family and he succeeded. Roberto was the definition of a family man. He liked to stay home and spend time cooking and lots of storytelling with his family. His favorite activities included watching wrestling and boxing, doing word cross puzzles and doing projects around the house.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Any donations are appreciated to be made to Roberto's charity of choice, St. Jude Children's Hospital.
