Ronald Gordon Thornton Smyth was born to Gordon and Beatrice Smyth in Seattle, Wash., on Sept. 7, 1936, peacefully passed away, at the age of 84, on Sept. 9, 2020, in Edmonds, Wash.

He was husband to wife, Jeanette (May 7, 2019); father to Harold Smyth (Donna), Victoria Wright (Shawn) and Eric Smyth; brother to Douglas Smyth (Marilyn) and sister, Leslie Straub; uncle to Nicholas Smyth; grandfather to Lauren Glasel, Griffin Smyth, Langdon Galyean and Fiona Hawkins; great-grandfather to Mason Glasel and Jeanette Galyean; and great-uncle to Taylor Stenzel, Zach, Reagan and Cassidy Smyth.
