Mar 25, 2020

Rose Arlene David Warren graduated into the Kingdom of Heaven on March 25, 2020.

Rose was born on March 24, 1949, in Elim, Alaska, to Shelby and Lorraine David; she was the middle of 14 children in the family. Rose attended Elim Day School, Wrangell Boarding School in Wrangell, Alaska, and graduated from Chimawa Indian School in Salem, Ore. Rose returned to Anchorage, Alaska, and studied at Anchorage Community College for an associate's degree.

Rose had a son Mark Christopher David and she and Mark lived in Bethel, Alaska, and Elim, Alaska, before returning to Anchorage. Rose and Mahlon Warren were married in Anchorage and resided there until his death. Rose had a challenging life battling alcohol but had been clean and sober for the last 3 years. Rose's spirit and love of family and friends endeared her to all who knew her. She will be fondly remembered and missed.

Rose is preceded in death by her father and mother; son, Mark; husband, Mahlon; seven brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by sisters, Gloria (Howdice) Brown of Sterling, Alaska, and Nina (Lee) Olson of Anchorage; brother, Shelby David of Elim; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Interment will be in Elim at a later date and a memorial service is being planned for Anchorage when we can all come together and celebrate our sister and friend.
