Tony Len Houser passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, at the age of 63, after a long, hard battle with cancer.

Tony was born on Dec. 22, 1956, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Bobbie Houser and Colleen Brayman-Houser. He was raised in many places as his father was in the Army and they settled in Alaska when he was in high school. He graduated from Bartlett High School in 1975. He served in the Army and then the Air National Guard until he retired in 2007. Tony also worked with Civil Service on Fort Richardson as a Maintenance Supervisor and retired in January 2018. While working he earned many achievements, awards and recognition for his hard work and service dedicated to the military.

Tony was married to Marilyn for 32 years. He had three children: Kelly, Lee and Stephanie, and was an amazing grandfather to seven grandchildren. Tony enjoyed living life to the fullest: hunting, fishing, snow machining, working outdoors and tending his garden were all passions of his.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at the Palmer Elks Lodge, 2600 N Barry's Resort Drive, Wasilla, AK 99654, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Sandwiches and a few salads will be provided; please bring your favorite side dish or dessert to share. We ask that, instead of sending flowers, you may donate to a fund to plant more of the rose bushes that he dearly loves.
