Trudy Ann Brown / Foshaug was born in Aberdeen, Wash., on Aug. 27, 1946. She died peacefully at home where she lost her battle with brain and lung cancer. She was 73.

She came to Alaska in 1985 from Olympia, Wash. She has lived here in Alaska ever since.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley A. Foshaug and Pauline Foshaug / Gunter; as well as her brother, Wesley A. Foshaug Jr. She is is survived by her two sons, Mark A. Brown and Matthew J. Brown; and her two grandsons, Matthew J. Brown and Valentino Brown; her half-brother, Martin A. Foshaug; sister-in-law, Monica E. Foshaug; and her nieces, Disa E. King / Foshaug and Amelia C. Foshaug; and also by her stepmother, Margaret V. Foshaug / Kurpies.
