Valerie Kaye Swendner
May 12, 1965 -
Mar 17, 2020
Valerie was born on May 12, 1965, in Denver, Colo. As a youth she lived many places due to her military family, including Turkey. As an adult she settled in her favorite state, in Anchorage, Alaska. She mostly worked in retail; she also was a blackjack dealer in Deadwood, S.D. She loved cooking and playing online poker and was involved in animal rights.
In 1992, she met her husband Steve Swendner and got married in 1999. Though chronic medical problems slowed her down she always kept her good sense of humor and positive spirit, and could find good in just about anything.
On March 17, 2020, with her husband by her side, she went to be with the Lord. She is forever at peace.
Sweetheart, thank you for being my best friend for 28 years. I will miss you so much until we meet again - it's not goodbye but I'll see you later. I will always love you.
She is survived by her husband, Steve Swendner of Anchorage; her mother, Carol Hardy of Deadwood, S.D.; and brother, Rusty of Washington.
Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear for I am with you do not be dismayed for I am your god I will strengthen you and help you I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
