Vicki Mae Rees

Vicki (Burley) Rees was born in Seattle, Wash., on June 7, 1947. She graduated from Evergreen High School in 1965, and moved to Anchorage, Alaska, in 1967, taking a job with the State of Alaska. In 1968, she met Richard Rees and they married on July 3, 1969. In 1978, they moved their family to Wasilla, Alaska, where Vicki worked for the Mat-Su Borough until her retirement. They then moved to Winlock, Wash., in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jean; father, Kenneth; brother, Martin (Scott) Burley; and by her daughter, Carrey Rees.

She leaves behind her siblings, Gary, Melvin (Ray) and Lori; husband, Richard; two children, Kevin and Angie; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

On July 3, 2019, the family got together and celebrated Dick and Vicki's 50th wedding anniversary. And sadly, Vicki left us on Nov. 4, 2019.
