Virgin Maria Pasqual was granted her angel wings on Jan. 13, 2020.

Virgin, also known as Maria, was born in Grande Riviere, Toco on the island of Trinidad, West Indies. Virgin was born at Colonial Hospital in Port-of-Spain, daughter of the late Rita Pasqual. She migrated to the United States, where she worked and spent most of her life. Virgin looked forward to traveling to the United Kingdom and Channel Islands every year to visit with family and hike the beautiful country. She enjoyed her life traveling solely, admiring the beauty of nature, especially by foot. Her spunky spirit was infectious, a very independent woman who loved her family and all children.

Virgin Maria has traveled one last time on her own, this time to a place where she can call home. She is survived by her Auntie Phyllis and her children.

A funeral service will be held on Feb. 6, 2020, at 3 p.m., at Holy Family Cathedral.
