Nestor Mendoza Chua Jr. passed in the early part of the afternoon on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at Red Lake, Minn.

He was born on Dec. 8, 1996, in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines, but lived in Anchorage, Alaska, since 2005. In 2015, he graduated from West High School. He pursued a career in military service as an "airman." In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing with his dog, photography, hiking, exploring and gaming. He was well-loved by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving family: parents, Nestor Chua Sr. and Rosita Mendoza; sister, Karen Chua; and brother, Lorenzo Chua.

Funeral services will be held on July 14, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Legacy Heritage Chapel at Angelus, 440 East Klatt Road in Anchorage.
