Aaron "Blue" Phillips

Aaron Brian Phillips died Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

Aaron was born in Chanute, Kan., April 4, 1973. He graduated from Joplin High School, 1991, Joplin, Mo.

Aaron was known by the name of Blue to all of his friends.

Aaron grew up in Joplin, Missouri until he graduated. He attended Army Reserve Basic training in Lawton, Okla. After Basic Training he moved to Trapper Creek, Alaska.

Aaron grew up loving fishing and hunting. Aaron enjoyed life to the fullest.

Aaron dearly loved his family, many close friends, and his dog, Dinah.

Aaron will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Aaron worked for Schlumberger Oil Services, Prudhoe Bay, Alaska as a Slick Line Specialist, from 2006 – 2020.

Preceded in death by his father, Walter (Tiny) Phillips.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Sue Butler and step father, Bruce Butler of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister, Angela Bushong of Oswego, Kan.; one brother, Charles (Pup) Phillips of Texas; step sisters, Carol Willis and family, Wichita, Kan.; Kathy Smith and family, Wylie, Texas; Chrissy Plumlee and family, Carl Junction, Mo.; nieces and nephew, Alex Ezell, Wichita, Kan.; Aurora Phillips, Wasilla, Alaska.; Cody Bushong, Oswego, Kan. Dalton Pullen and Adriel Pullen knew him as, Uncle Blue.

A celebration of Aaron's life is Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the

Pig Shed on Kula and Petersville Road, Trapper Creek, Alaska.
