Ronald Charles Parker

Ronald Charles Parker, age 72, of Nome, Alaska, passed peacefully in his sleep from natural causes after having been able to say goodbye to his closest family on Feb. 6, 2020. Rahn was born on July 22, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, as the firstborn to Ray Watson Parker and Jean Sessions Parker and he lived a rich and fulfilling life. He is known and remembered for his love, compassion and caring, adventurous spirit, toughness and so much more.

Rahn is survived and greatly missed by his wife, Martha Outwater-Parker; mother, Jean Sessions Parker; sisters, Lonna Rivera and Janet Sacco; children, Shadrach Parker (Amy), Brenna Outwater (Duke), Rahnia Boyer (Doug), Ray Parker (Trisha), Garrett Savok and Maegan Renee Harrelson (Andrew); grandchildren, Oliver, Wilson, Dakota, Alyssa, Natalie, Maddox, Wyatt, Kierra, Sam, Hannah, Dallas, Zayden Rahn, Penelope, Danielle, Charlotte, Paige, Ashton and Conor; and great-grandchild, Cason. He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Parker; and sister, Margo Greenfield.

He received his education at Clearfield High School; Ricks College Southern Utah University; master's at University of Utah in clinical social work and forensic counseling; and moved to Alaska in 1975, living in Soldotna, Savoonga, Fairbanks, Bethel and Nome, and retired in Nome from the State of Alaska Department of Labor in 2006. He was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Covenant Church.

His memorial service will be in Nome on date to be determined. His family has so much love for him and we know we will see him again!
