Anne Marie Lose

Nov 6, 1963 -

Jul 26, 2021

Anchorage, Alaska, resident Anne Marie Lose, 57, passed away on July 26, 2021, after succumbing to long term health complications.

A service will be held at Anchor Park United Methodist Church on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow at Sisterhood Park at 4 p.m.

Anne was welcomed into the world by Charles and Dorothy Lose on Nov. 6, 1963, in Chateauroux, France, where they were stationed at the time. Growing up, the family moved due to her father's military service, however, most of her youth was spent in Trout Run, Pa. Anne made her way up to Alaska in the early 80s, and has called it home ever since. She planted roots and gave birth to three children: Rick, Jess and Kate. She worked with Hope Cottages, before spending time in childcare, and then proceeded to receive her certificate in welding.

She enjoyed the outdoors and the adventure it had to offer. You could often find her spending time camping, fishing and cooking around a campfire. As long as she had tinfoil and a campfire, she could make just about anything! She had lifelong friends and was always ready to lend a hand or an ear. All who were lucky enough to know her would tell you she never turned down the opportunity to spend time with family and friends.

Anne's world revolved around her seven grandchildren and newest great-grandson, who affectionately called her Mammy. She would do anything for them. She spent countless hours chasing little feet all around, making the best snacks, finding lost toys, dance parties, giving hundreds of hugs and thousands of kisses. She is truly missed.

She is survived by her children, Richard, Jessica and Katelynn Lose; grandchildren, Destinie, Alyssa, Peyton, Brie, Jameson, David Jr. and Madison; great-grandson, Braylen; also by sisters, Debbie Hardwick, Donna Jackson, Kim Whitaker of Anchorage and Karen Pilalas of Williamsport, Pa.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Dorothy Lose. Any flowers or donations can be sent to Anchor Park Untied Methodist Church.
